Trash

When you delete something in Giant Context, it doesn't disappear immediately. Deleted items go straight to the Trash, providing a unified 30-day safety net for your entire project. Think of it as a centralized recycle bin that captures removed content across all your apps—including Website, Email, Forms, CRM, and Files. While these items are instantly removed from their original locations (like your page list or file browser), your data remains safely stored just in case you change your mind.

The Trash view

To access your deleted items, click the Trash icon near the bottom of your project sidebar. This opens the Trash view, displaying a comprehensive table of your removed content.

The table organizes your deleted items by Type, Name, Deleted date, Deleted By, and when the item Expires, making it easy to track down exactly what you need to recover.

Restoring items

When you restore an item from Trash, it returns exactly to its original location with all of its data perfectly intact. A restored page instantly regains its sections, blocks, and settings, so you can pick up right where you left off. Similarly, a restored file retains its original name, folder location, and metadata, ensuring your media library stays perfectly organized without any extra work.

Permanent deletion

When you are absolutely certain an item is no longer needed, you can permanently delete it from your Trash. Proceed with caution: this action is completely irreversible. Once an item is purged, the file and all its associated data are gone for good.

To clear your recycle bin entirely, click the Empty Trash button in the top-right corner of the page. A confirmation dialog will appear to ensure you want to proceed, as this action permanently deletes all items from your project and cannot be undone.
