The column width slider
Select a column and the Column width slider appears in the settings panel. It moves in single-unit steps from 1 to 12.
Splitting and removing columns
Column width takes a separate value at each device width. A row of three columns that reads well on a desktop is too narrow on a phone, so the builder gives you three device modes to set widths in, Desktop, Tablet and Mobile.

No. A width set on desktop carries down to tablet and mobile until you set a different one there, so you only set the breakpoints that need to differ.
Select the column with the shorter content and set its vertical alignment to Center, so the text sits against the middle of the taller column beside it.
A section holds its content in columns, so it keeps at least one. To clear that content, delete the blocks inside the column, or delete the whole section.
