Connect your own domain
Your site is already live on a Giant Context subdomain the moment you have a website — you don't have to do anything for that. When you're ready to use your own domain, like yourcompany.com, you add it, set a couple of DNS records at your registrar, and the rest happens on its own: verification, then HTTPS.

After you add the records, the domain moves through a few states. You'll see it sitting in one of them until the next check picks it up:
If it's stuck on pending DNS, your records probably aren't set right yet — double-check them at your registrar. You can also trigger a re-check instead of waiting for the next five-minute pass.
HTTPS is automatic
You don't buy or install a certificate. Once your domain verifies, the HTTPS certificate is issued and attached for you, and it renews on its own. There's nothing to configure and nothing to remember to renew.
Your primary domain
Your first custom domain becomes your primary one automatically. The primary domain is the real address of your site — it's what your links, your sitemap, and your robots file use. Any other hostname you've added redirects to it, so a visitor who types the wrong one lands in the right place. You can set a different domain as primary whenever you want. The generated Giant Context subdomain stays around and can't be deleted; your custom domains you can remove.

It depends on your DNS. The check runs every five minutes, but your records have to spread across the internet first, which can take minutes or a few hours. Once they're visible, the states move quickly.
