A campaign is a single send of an email to a group of people. You pick an email you've designed, choose a segment of contacts to receive it, and hit send. Campaigns are how you turn your email designs into actual messages in your audience's inboxes, whether you're sending a monthly newsletter, a product announcement, or a holiday promotion.
When you navigate to Email > Campaigns, you will see a table displaying all of your campaigns. Campaigns are how you turn your email designs into actual messages, and this view gives you a complete overview of every single send.
Keep a close eye on your email sends from the Campaigns dashboard. Track real-time delivery status, review which emails and segments were used, and measure engagement with open and click metrics.
Use the search bar at the top of the table to quickly find campaigns by name. Click any row to open the campaign detail view.
After creating a new campaign or selecting an existing one, you'll land on the detail view. This dashboard organizes your campaign data into three distinct tabs: Overview, Sends, and Details.
The Details tab provides technical metadata about your campaign. Here, you can find the campaign's unique ID, creation date, last updated timestamp, and the exact time it was delivered if it has already been sent.
When you are ready to deliver your message, open the campaign detail view and click the Send Campaign button in the top-right corner. A confirmation dialog will appear displaying the total recipient count for your selected segment. This is your final opportunity to double-check your audience before the campaign is actively delivered to each contact.
Giant Context automatically tracks three key engagement metrics for every campaign you send.
When a recipient opens your campaign, a tiny invisible image loads to record the engagement. These open counts update automatically on both the campaign list and detail view. For a more granular look, the Sends tab shows exactly which recipients opened your email and how many times they viewed it.
Every link in your email is automatically wrapped in click tracking. When a recipient clicks, the action is instantly recorded before seamlessly redirecting them to their destination. You can monitor engagement and view individual click counts per recipient directly on the Sends tab.
Always preview before you send. The system compiles your email, replaces template variables with sample data, and delivers a test email to your address. Check it on your phone and desktop to ensure images and links render correctly.
Monitor your open and click rates. Low open rates often indicate issues with your subject line, while low click rates suggest weak or competing calls to action. Make your primary action obvious with a prominently placed button.
Clean up your segments by removing consistently unengaged contacts. This ensures you are sending the right message to the right people and maintaining high deliverability.
Use the {{unsubscribeUrl}} variable in your templates to automatically handle opt-outs. Unsubscribed contacts are updated automatically and won't receive future campaign sends when filtered by segment subscription criteria.
